Hooters on Scooters was founded in March of 2005. We eagerly wanted to start an all-women's scooter club here in Tulsa, so we did. Hooters on Scooters came to life. Now I know what you are thinking, "Hooters on Scooters?" We chose this name for three good reasons. First, and most obvious, we wanted an all girls scooter club; secondly, we wanted to ride for a good cause and we felt the Foundation for Breast Cancer was the best fit for our club. (All proceeds of our yearly membership dues are donated to the Foundation for Breast Cancer Research). Thirdly, we are incredibly clever. Hooters on Scooters is about women riding scooters for fun, and for a great cause. Brilliant huh?
Our club consists of women all ages, from their 20's into their 60's. We have all races, all professions, all kinds of interests. We all support the Foundation for Breast Cancer, the freedom of the open road, and the joy of each other's company. |
