Hooters on Scooters was founded in March of 2005. We eagerly wanted to start an all- women's scooter club here in Tulsa, so we did. Hooters on Scooters came to life. Now I know what you are thinking, "Hooters on Scooters?" We chose this name for three good reasons. First, and most obvious, we wanted an all girls scooter club; secondly, we wanted to ride for a good cause and we felt the Foundation for Breast Cancer was the best fit for our club. (All proceeds of our yearly membership dues are donated to the Foundation for Breast Cancer Research). Thirdly, we are incredibly clever. Hooters on Scooters is about women riding scooters for fun, and for a great cause. Brilliant huh?

Our club consists of women all ages, from their 20's into their 60's. We have all races, all professions, all kinds of interests. We all support the Foundation for Breast Cancer, the freedom of the open road, and the joy of each other's company.

Where: Panera at 71st and Garnett by Kohl's

When: 2:00 - 4:00

-Bring a new filled out membership form, and come hungry, because if we all eat, we won't have to pay for the room.

APRIL 20. 2008 | Ride to MUSKOGEE AZALEA FESTIVAL For scooters 50 MPH +  Meeting at the QT on 101st and Memorialand LEAVING at 1:30. We will ride to Muskogee, see the flowers, go eat dinner, come back. Prepare yourself for windy riding, and a beautiful trip :) This will take the entire afternoon.

MAY 3. 2008** | DRIVE IN MOVIES!! Before it gets too hot, we are going to the drive in movies. Bring cash (they only take cash), bring a blanket, and bring a radio if you've got one. This will be fun. Meeting at Crow Creek, short ride to the movies.

JULY 20. 2008 | EVENING RIDE - to be led by Susan T. Meet at the Sonic at 101st and Elm in Broken Arrow at 5:30. Ride around BA, end up in Jenks for dinner at the Riverwalk.

AUGUST 17. 2008 | EVENING RIDE - to be led by Amy M. Meeting at the QT at 51st and Mingo at 3:30ish....leaving at 3:45. Going to ride around Lake Oologah. We'll have you back by dark!! :) We'll be stopping for dinner.

SEPTEMBER 21. 2008 | DAY RIDE - to be led by Lorinda

2008 CLUB CHANGES- This year we are going to prorate the membership dues to March 15th. That means, everyone will pay at the same time each year. If you join in February, it would only be a few dollars, and then you would pay the dues in March. We will begin putting sticker numbers on the membership cards that we will update every year with re-enrollment (Like "good through 2009"), instead of getting new membership cards every year (saving $$$)

We will also be looking for volunteers to lead the rides. If a few girls step up to the plate, we will see more of Oklahoma. Let's make this a collaborative club.

2008 RAIN POLICY- If you see rain, we're not riding. If it LOOKS like it's going to rain, call me, or check the website before you head out. I will post a cancellation at least 1 hour before the ride is to begin.
